Rajasthan, the “National Leader in Pearl Millets” is having largest area and highest production in the country under pearl millet. The State occupies about 46 lakh-hectare area with an average production of about 28 lakh tons and productivity of 400 kg per hectare. Increase in farmer’s income and welfare and economic development of the state has always been a focus area of Rajasthan government. Rajasthan Agro-processing, Agri-business & Agri-export Promotion Policy, 2019 offers attractive incentives for millet value chain player.

“Rajasthan Millet Conclave 2023” on 13th and 14th March 2023 at State Institute of Agriculture Management (SIAM), Jaipur, Rajasthan.

The Millet conclave is being organized to commemorate the International Year of Millets with the objective of raising awareness about the health benefits of the millets and promoting the productivity, processing, marketing, product innovation and consumption of millets. The Conclave aims to bring together Government, Industry, Academia, startups/entrepreneurs, and farmers under the common roof to deliberate on the opportunities of strengthening millet sector in Rajasthan and draw the roadmap to successful implementation.

Intertwined with the broader themes known as “SEVEN SUTRAs”, the conclave will focus on achieving the following objectives:

• Building and expanding Millet production and productivity
• Enhancing consumption of Millet foods for nutritional and health benefits
• Navigating through the challenges in millet processing and value addition
• Upholding millet based entrepreneurial initiatives/ start ups
• Accentuating the state potential by adopting global best practices
• Awareness on Millet processing and product development
• Emphasizing the policy interventions for millet promotion

The Conclave will have strategic conferences, panel discussions, round table deliberations, presentations, one-to-one business meetings, awards / felicitation ceremonies and millet expo followed by cultural events embracing the vibrant essence of different cultures of Rajasthan.

Clarification on Invitation to Start-ups to participate in “Rajasthan Millet Conclave 2023”: 13th& 14th March 2023, SIAM, Jaipur

In reference to the earlier letter dated 22nd February 2023 on the subject a few queries are being raised by different start-ups. In this regard, the following are the clarifications regarding the participation of start-ups in “Rajasthan Millet Conclave 2023” and setting up the stall:

• No participation fees shall be levied on start-ups for attending the two-day Conclave(13th & 14th March 2023 at SIAM, Jaipur).
• For attending the Conclave, the start-ups are directed to register on this link of registration: rajkisan.rajasthan.gov.in/Millets/Millets OR forms.gle/6US4Tprd9yVm1BJC8 (No registration fee).
• The conclave also provides the space for stalls to set up displays and exhibitions of products/solutions at the “Millet Expo”.
• All the start-ups setting up the stall shall be awarded a sum of Rs. 10,000/- (for start-ups outside the state of Rajasthan) / Rs. 5,000/- (for start-ups from within the state).
• Interested Start-ups to set up the stall are required to send the product catalogue/sample briefs/ brochures/product description etc., together with a brief description of the organization at: rajkisan.rajasthan.gov.in/Millets/Millets .
• The start-ups interested in putting up the stall shall be required to pay a nominal fee of Rs. 2500/- at the provided details to confirm their participation of stalls in “Millet Expo”:
